Defend Manitoba Parks – Keep them Public

Jul 12, 2021 | Legislation Tracker

The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society Manitoba Chapter and MGEU are concerned about the PC government’s long-term plans for Manitoba’s public parks. In addition to tapping a consulting firm to evaluate whether parks should be “divested” or “decommissioned,” two businesses have been awarded contracts in St. Ambroise Beach Provincial Park and Turtle Mountain Provincial Park. MOFA believes Manitoba’s parks should remain public and affortable to all Manitobans.
